About the role
A two-year apprenticeship in traditional Vietnamese rattan weaving. You will be paired with a senior weaver from day one and spend your first six months on basic-pattern work, gradually progressing to advanced weaves and finishing techniques.
After the first year you specialise — outdoor synthetic, indoor natural, or fine residential. By the end of year two, you are weaving paid work alongside the rest of the team.
What we're looking for
- No prior weaving experience required — we train from zero
- Patient hands; willingness to do repetitive work for long stretches
- Good eyesight; you will be working with cane down to 2mm
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- Live in or near Pleiku (we do not provide housing)
What we offer
- Salary 6–9M VND / month, rising in 6-month increments
- Full uniform + tools provided
- One-on-one mentorship from a 19-year veteran
- Job offer at end of year two — most apprentices take it
- Funded literacy / numeracy classes if needed
How to apply
